So I am well out of my 7 day beginners protection in Evony and a lot has happened. Our Alliance now moved up to 3rd Place, right under SKC.
I have two cities going, my main one is getting pretty beefy. Its now getting a bit more intense as yesterday our friendly alliance with SKC changed to Neutral. Then today escalated to War with them. It was pretty intense as soon as that happened, the alliance chat quickly went to people locating SKC towns around them, trying to scout them for reports on troop levels and posting the XML results. People quickly found allies around them for possible help in defense or attacks. Folks scrambled for resources to upgrade walls and defenses. One of my towns sits just 3.2 miles from a top SKC player with about 10K more prestige then me.
Thats about a 12 minute trip there, so not a lot of time to scramble. Needless to say I've been improving the defenses as well. Although only a few hours into the war, and with no known attacks (only scouting), we are once again friendly alliances. Even though war time has passed, it still feels like a cold war, each side still weary and doing the match on resources and troops. I don't imagine thats the end of the conflict there is only a few alliances at the top of the leaderboard, and the end game is all about combat.

Not yet, our alliance doesn't really use coin. Although the most frustating part is that to have more towns, you need to increase your title. However you need medals to do this, which you can only get by attack valleys. However the drop rate seems super low, and I just can't find any. So eventually if I am still playing, I may just need to buy them....

It's a good game. The only thing I'm worried about is you can only have 10 towns, and you can't ever lose your last town. How does the game ever come to a close.

Not all games come to a natural end. Some just continue until the host pulls the plug.

That may be true. However, you can only have a 10 city max, 100 member alliance, and can't ever lose your last city. At this point it seems like there is nothing I can really accomplish except getting 10 cities and attacking people.
